When the following letter appeared in an English news-paper
at Charlestown, South Carolina, consistent with the modern
plan of American liberty, a young gentleman of that place
was apprehended on suspicion of being the author, and thrown
into goal, where we believe he remains to this day.
A FAMILIAR EPISTLE FROM AMERICA.
Excuse me, dear friend, I can't think it true,
Tho' Solomon says it, that nothing is new:
